The Darrell Gwynn Foundation was responsible for initiating Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week.
The first of its kind, SCIAW exists to educate the public on ways they can prevent spinal cord injuries from happening to them.
The Darrell Gwynn Foundation relies on the following partners to help us deliver our message to the greatest number of individuals across the state.
The Florida Department of Health’s mission is to promote and protect the health and safety of all Floridians. Since 2006, the DOH has helped fulfill this mission by funding the Darrell Gwynn Foundation’s Public Service Announcements (PSA) that run throughout Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week. The PSA’s are dedicated to educating individuals on the most common spinal cord injuries Floridians face, while providing useful tips on prevention. Click Here to view PSA
