The Darrell Gwynn Foundation will be present at the Orange County, California Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction – a brand new Barrett-Jackson event – that runs from June 25th to the 27th.
On Saturday, June 26th between 5-7 p.m. (PDT), the Collector Car Auction will feature two amazing cars that will be auctioned off to raise money for The Darrell Gwynn Foundation. The first up, lot # 386 is the Barrett-Jackson Limited Edition 2008 Shelby GT – #8 of just 100 built and originally sold only by Arizona Ford dealers. The interior of the Shelby GT is signed by American Idol stars Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi and Ryan Seacrest.
Lot # 386.1 is the special 20th Anniversary Coors Extra Gold Dragster show car that already has brought in $550,000. The top fuel dragster is a replica of the car Darrell Gwynn drove in 1990. It will be sold once again to help The Foundation reach $1 million through this special vehicle. Both cars were generously donated by Ron Pratte.
All proceeds from the sale of the two vehicles at the Barrett-Jackson auction will benefit The Darrell Gwynn Foundation. Prior to the auction, Darrell Gwynn will present a custom wheelchair to a deserving individual. It is part of The Foundation’s Wheelchair Donation Program that has, to date, totaled nearly $1 million. If you or anyone you know would like to apply for a new, customized wheelchair, please contact Erica Woods at 954-792-7223 ext 112. For more information, see our wheelchair donation page.
